INDEPENDENT RECOURSE MECHANISM SERVICE (IRMS)

We provide an Independent Recourse Mechanism Service (“IRMS”) to address data protection concerns of individuals (“data subjects”) whose personal data is processed by companies in the United States that voluntarily signed up to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (collectively, the “DPF”) to demonstrate their commitment to fundamental freedoms and right to privacy of individuals.

This service is provided at no cost to data subjects.

The US Dept. of Commerce hosts all the DPF-related information, tailored to four readerships: EU Individuals, EU Businesses, US Businesses, and Data Protection Authorities.
